Listed Species Surveys and Permitting

Pale Blue Dot Consulting is experienced with Listed Species permit consultation with Federal, State, and Local agencies. Listed Species surveys, including general and species-specific surveys, are often required to identify State or Federally-Listed species and habitat on properties before development or purchase. The presence of such species and habitat can increase development costs, potentially leading to various restrictions on site plans, depending on the species and habitat extent. Certain conditions may allow the species to be relocated (such as the gopher tortoise), while other conditions may require purchasing mitigation credits from specialized conservation banks. Additionally, some species may require surveying or monitoring before and/or during construction activities, often resulting in surveying or monitoring over multiple dates, throughout an entire season, or for several seasons (such as Bald Eagles, Caracaras, and other listed bird species).
